April 2021 Update…..
We understand things are frustrating for us all at this current time, with the continued uncertainty regarding travel and our precious holidays !
We want to reassure you that we currently plan to reopen Manzac on the 21st May, with all relevant precautions in place.
We are taking bookings through our Booking Request form with our ‘Risk Free’ – no deposit needed guarantee, until travel restrictions are clearer.
Please do drop us a line if you have any questions and we will get back to you.
We do hope to be able to welcome you to Manzac this Summer.
Frances and Dave
We are a very small family run, friendly and well established site, catering for caravans, motor homes and campers. The site offers the peace and quiet of a grown-ups only environment and is open May to September.
Manzac Ferme is forest cloaked, on the river Bandiat, surrounded by lakes and deserted roads. It is a truly idyllic location.
Our unique site has been purposely designed to cater sympathetically and exclusively for the needs of adults so that one can enjoy the tranquil quiet surroundings by the calm river. We also welcome your four-legged companions.
We warmly invite you to share with us the sun-blessed countryside, filled with bird song and colourful butterflies busy pollinating the abundant flora.
In the day you’ll see plentiful wildlife, from birds of prey overhead to deer in the surrounding woodland. At night the clear sky makes for fantastic star-gazing and a possible sighting of the International Space Station! Finally go off to sleep to the sound of owls.
There is plenty of opportunity to relax and re-charge the batteries. Leave the cares of the world behind, venture perhaps along the numerous unspoilt forest tracks on foot or cycle.
You may like to try your hand at fishing on our own stretch of the river Bandiat, which forms a necklace around our site.
If you’d like to know more, find out about availability, or make a booking, please see our contact page. Otherwise, do explore the rest of our website for details of local attractions and further details.
We look forward to welcoming you to Manzac Ferme.
We came to view Manzac Ferme and the lovely campsite on the river Bandiat in a window of travel that was allowed in August 2020 during the Covid crisis! We fell in love and came back again in October to sign papers and moved our lives here to this tranquil area of the North Dordogne on the 8th December.
We are currently settling in and adjusting to a new way of life…coming from busy 24/7 Southampton to the French countryside has been an interesting adventure so far, but one that we are enjoying very much, mistakes and all! We are exploring the area on foot, bike and car so that we can share our experiences with our visitors when you can finally travel again with no restrictions.
We are making plans around the grounds to continue all the improvements and hard work that Margaret and Georges have put in over the past 9 years. They are a tough act to follow as all the 5 star TripAdvisor reviews show, so we have our work cut out to perfect our hosting skills.
We are looking forward to a positive 2021 and are very much looking forward to meeting all the new and the many repeat guests this Summer and sharing the ‘peace and tranquillity’ of Manzac Ferme with you all.
Manzac Ferme Offers…
Our precautions at Manzac Ferme against Covid 19 will be continually evolving according to current guidelines.
The only shared facilities are the Washrooms comprising of two toilets and two showers, plus a washing up sink. These will be cleaned regularly as part of our standard cleaning protocol with the addition of hand sanitisers at the entrance which we would ask you to use before entering.
We are sure that we have all become more adjusted to the restrictions of wearing masks, washing hands frequently etc. and expect this may continue for the foreseeable future.
One of the many benefits of a camping, self catering holiday in your own accommodation is that you are in control of your own environment.
Our campsite has only 11 spacious pitches and they are well spaced out from each other so you can come and stay confident in being able to maintain social distancing with minimum effort.
Manzac Ferme is in a beautiful quiet area for walking, cycling and just relaxing with no need to come into contact with anyone other than perhaps a trip to the Boulangerie or the supermarket, which if like us you go between 12.00 and 14.00 you are unlikely to meet many other people!
In kurz: Top – würden jeder Zeit wieder kommen. – Z L, Germany
